Rules and Regulations

General

The Treebash Open is a PDGA B-Tier event. All PDGA rules will be enforced. Certified Officials will be at all courses. The two meter rule will be in effect, so any disc coming to rest 2 meters above the playing surface will be considered out-of-bounds according to PDGA rule 806.01.

Alcohol consumption will not be permitted during tournament play. Any player caught consuming alcohol during tournament rounds will be disqualified immediately and reported to the PDGA. Consumption of alcohol in non-glass containers by those who are 21 and over is permitted at Thorpe & McPherson Park before, between and after tournament rounds.

Flagstaff’s disc golf courses are in multi-use parks. All players are required to extend all courtesy to not only other players, but especially to all users of the park and the park itself (littering is considered a courtesy violation). If it is determined that any player is being discourteous according to the PDGA Player Misconduct Rules, then disciplinary action will be taken.

Registration, withdrawal and refund policy

Registration will be first come, first serve for all divisions. We will not reserve spots, but will start a waiting list once a field is full.

We will use the PDGA refund policy as stated below and in the Competition Manual Withdraws and Refunds Page.

1.3 Withdraws and Refunds

A. A player may officially withdraw only by contacting the Tournament Director.

B. Players must email or phone their withdrawals to the Tournament Director only at the contact information posted.

C. Discussions with persons other than the Tournament Director, including other tournament staff, shall not be considered official.

D. No refunds will be issued after the 7th day prior to the start of the event, but the player shall be sent a player’s package if one was provided to event competitors.

E. Withdrawals made before the 7th day prior to the start of the event shall receive a 50% refund.

F. Withdrawals made 14 days prior to the start of the event shall be refunded 100 %, less postage and handling, which shall not exceed 10% of the entry fee.

G. These criteria may be relaxed at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
